Giant choledochal cyst. Case report

ABSTRACT

The case of a 12-year-old patient, originally from Acapulco, Guerrero, with an initial clinical picture of abdominal pain, jaundice and coluria is reported. After several laboratory and imaging tests, giant choledochal cyst (diameter› 10 cm) type I of Todani classification was diagnosed, having associated cholangitis as a complication. The cyst was surgically resected. Postoperative course was uneventful.
