ABSTRACT

An important number of medical researches need the utilization of descriptive statistics that are going to describe the characteristics of the population we are studying. This description of variables depends in a fundamental way of the distribution of the variables. Following this, the description of a population with variables of scale of interval or variables with a scale of quotient will need the measures of central tendency and the measures of dispersion. Some of the measures of frequency of the disease more used are the ratio, the proportion or the rate.
