The thought of the historical leader of the cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz on the health of the people

ABSTRACT

In “The history will absolve me", the young lawyer Fidel Castro Ruz denounced the males of Cuba previously 1953, among these the related ones to the health of the rural community. Since the beginning of the fight armed against the tyranny, the physicians of the rebellious army assisted to the farmers in the mountainous and isolated places. After the Victory of the Revolution, in 1959, in order to achieve the purposes of the Moncada´s Program, the actions were beginning to transform the sector of the health in well-being of the people. The thought of the historical leader was the main promoter of the changes in the health in Cuba that universal dimensions reached.
The importance of his ideas motivated to realizing this work, with the aim to emphasize the significance of his thought in the development of the system of public health in Cuba. To expand and deepen this topic, a bibliographic review was done aimed to study his ideas and its contribution to the development of the medical service.
His ideas struck positively in the primary and specialized care, which they consolidated the system of health. Inspired by his legacy, the Cuban system of health has extended its solidarity and humanist values in the medical collaboration to other countries. His thought, in force as revolutionary doctrine, proclamation that a world been ruled by values in good of the citizen is possible, necessary and ineluctable. The thought of the historical leader about the health is a forever modal for students and professionals in Cuba and other countries and it constitutes the political and ideological foundation of the principles of our public health care.
