Parry Romberg syndrome or progressive hemifacial atrophy. A case report

ABSTRACT

Parry Romberg syndrome, also known as progressive hemifacial atrophy, is a condition of unknown etiology, clinically characterized by progressive hemiatrophy of skin and soft tissues of the face and, in some cases, atrophy of muscles, cartilage and bone structures irreversible. The clinical features are not well known yet because it is a rare disease. Diagnosis is usually delayed. In this article we report the case of a 21 year old woman with diagnosis of Parry Romberg syndrome, who was treated with autologous fat graft, and colchicine.
