ABSTRACT

In his short but intense existence, "Che" accumulated the most varied personal experiences and in all of them he left his imprint, which has been extensively treated. However, his actions in the field of medicine are not all well known. The objective of this work is to outline, in a succinct way, the most significant aspects related to the work of the commander Ernesto "Che" Guevara as a health professional, on the 65th anniversary of his graduation as a doctor. From the review of the facts exposed, it can be concluded that "Che", even though the avatars in his brief but fruitful life did not allow him to develop his profession as he would have liked, his example constitutes the paradigm of a revolutionary doctor, committed to the causes fairer of humanity and the health of the most disadvantaged.
