ABSTRACT

Crossed tests and the search of antibodies are of extreme importance, since they allow the detection and laboratory testing of antigens and antibodies. They help us to prevent the transfusion with incompatible blood, and to provide the patient with maximum security and benefit. Before making each procedure, it is very important to count with an excellent control of quality, which allows us to have under control all the processes and stages that will influence the detection of antibodies. Crossed tests are normally carried out in four phases: fast reading, reading of 37°, reading 37°/Coombs, validation with E. Sensitized. The means that surround the test are closely related to the potentiators and the Ionic Force that favors the reaction antigen-antibody, and must be able to detect active antibodies to low temperatures and to tell true from false positive feedbacks. The investigation of free irregular serum antibodies must be made at least with two techniques. One second technique can be hyperprotein means like albumin, or enzymes like bromelina or LISS, being this one the most effective one.
