ABSTRACT

Tuberculosis is a chronic infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. However, some cases can be caused by other mycobacteria such as M. bovis and, exceptionally, by its derivative: bacillus Calmette-Guérin (bcg), especially in patients with immunodeficiency.
We present the cases of two infants with cutaneous tuberculosis due to bcg, with similar lesions consisting of disseminated nodules and gums, whose immunological studies demonstrated primary immunodeficiency, without response to the treatment instituted and with a fatal evolution.
