Nodular Tuberculid of the Face. Presentation of a Clinical Case

ABSTRACT

The cutaneous tuberculosis (tbc) is a chronic infectious disorder. It is caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis, generally due reinfection either endogenous or exogenous. The nodular tuberculid of the face is also called Levandowsky rosaceiform tuberculid, it is also a tape of a cutaneous tuberculosis, and it is characteristic shows nodules on the face, auricular pavilion, neck, thorax and extremities. This is pathology is less frequent (only 1% of all tbc cases) this appears on young patients, mostly women, if the tuberculin test comes back positive, and if the cutaneous biopsy showed pharanexial tuberculoid granulomas. Many years ago there was a doubt about etiology, nowadays with the polymerase chain reaction skin test de positive skin test; this can be considered a type of paucibacillary of cutaneous tbc.
We present a case of tbc in a male patient with tubercles nodular and we take a quick review of the topic.
