ABSTRACTA case of a 13-year-old male patient with a clinical picture of complicated appendicitis with transoperative diagnosis of situs inversus is presented. This clinical case highlights the importance of anatomical variations in surgery as well as how it affects the timely diagnosis of surgical pathologies.
