Self-limiting Abdominal Pain

ABSTRACT

Abdominal pain is a nonspecific symptom and may have a sensitive, visceral or systemic origin. Evaluation of the patient with abdominal pain may be a challenge due to inconclusive clinical findings, leading to an incorrect diagnosis. This writing addresses the case of a 77-yearold female patient with persistent, long-evolving diffuse abdominal pain, with no response to treatment. After many medical visits, a non-specific mass is detected in the lower left hemi abdomen; histopathological studies refer to the presence of endometrial cancer.
