ABSTRACT

The goal of this article is to analyze the influence of family therapy co evolution processes have had an influence on our cognitions and explanation about families. This leads us to the family diversity perspective that has had an impact in clinical practice. At the same time, clinical practice has a relevant influence in our conceptions, both, theoretical and clinical, about families and family therapy. This includes, the way the therapist situates himself, the positioning that leads us to explain and understand perspectives about reality, the construction of meaning that influence the therapeutic processes and relationships.
