ABSTRACT

For the achievement of the medical excellence generalized in the attention of the patients in advanced stage of their illness, it is of great value a bioethical focus that allows them to die to these patients worthily. The objetive was to describe the role that can play the Bioethics, like a scientific discipline, in front of the necessity and the patient’s right in advanced stage from an illness to a worthy death. It was carried out an exhaustive bibliographical revision using the describers: euthanasia and ethics, belonging to the structured vocabulary and trilingual. The Describers were used in Sciences of the Health (DeCS), with the search strategy: euthanasia and ethics, and cerebral death and ethics and different positions of countries were compared in the patient’s bioethical focus in advanced stage of their illness. Different positions were detected in the bioethical focus to approach the bird calls from the right to a worthy death in the patients with advanced stage of their illness, showing a true humanist aspect the bioethical focus toasted by the Cuban pattern of primary medical care. It was concluded that it is necessary to exercise a current focus of the Bioethics like discipline, more and more humanist in the patient’s attention in advanced stage of their illness, that which helps him to exercise their right to have a worthier death. to a greater suspicion and earlier detection of cancer of digestive origin, an effective treatment and timely follow-up of these patients, with a view to reducing morbidity and mortality in the same country in Cuba.
