ABSTRACT

The Symposium "Leadership in Public Health", was held on June 6, 2019 at the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas, under the auspices of the Provincial Health Directorate, the host University, the Provincial Council of Scientific Health Societies, the provincial chapter of the Cuban Public Health Society and with the collaboration of the Provincial Health Services Insurance Company. The opening speech was given by Dr. Odalys Sánchez Barrera, President of the provincial chapter of the Cuban Public Health Society. During the opening ceremony, the book "A style of timely leadership in Public Health" was presented by Dr C. Pastor Castell Floritt Serrate, a native of the province. The event was attended by directors and teachers of the national and provincial health system: primary and secondary health care, the Provincial Health Directorate, reserves, teachers from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, civil servants and methodologists.
