ABSTRACT

Shoulder pain is one of the most common complaints among orthopedists and primary care doctors. Rotator cuff syndrome is one of the most frequent causes of pain and weakness of the shoulder, it can be triggered by an acute event or by chronic disease that affects the rotator cuff tendon. The proper techniques and maneuvers in the physical examination isolate the muscle helping the proper diagnosis of the syndrome. Regarding the management and conservative treatment, physical therapy and some antiinflammatory drugs will play the main role in its approach as long as there is no complete tendon tear.
