ABSTRACT

Human beings need to preserve and improve their bodies´ self-image in a fast and efficient way, without scars leads them to consult non-qualified staff, in search of facial or body fillings with modeling substances miscalled biopolymers; non-suitable for the use in the human body causing posterior complications. The clinical case presented, refers to a 42-year-old women, to whom liquid silicone was injected in the gluteal area and mouth lips; 2 years after the infiltration, started presenting local clinical manifestations around the area of injection such as increased volume, induration and fever, motivating the patient to consult. Protocolary studies were carried out by the multidisciplinary medical team who diagnosed gluteal allogenosis with local and systemic migration of the modeling substance, deep right femoral venous thrombosis, tubule interstitial nephritis with chronic kidney failure stage 4, altogether converging into the diagnose of autoimmune inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants (ASIA).
