Key words:

Big Bang, the origin of life, macromolecules of life.

ABSTRACT

The living beings are self-sustaining and organized systems with the ability to replicate their genetic information and inherit it from their offspring over different generations. However, how were the precursor molecules of life formed in the Universe? When did life on Earth arise? Which are the macromolecules that dictate life? This review will address these and other questions from a scientific perspective, but enjoyably and easily.
