Wooping-cough. A case report

ABSTRACT

A case of a male infant of two months age with paroxystic cough for two weeks, is reported. The clinical issues and due to the absence of vaccination a culture of sample obtained from pharynx was done; result was positive for Bordetella pertussis. He received treatment whith erithromicine for 14 days, with satisfactory response without complications. He was observed asymptomatic three weeks after treatment.
