Fascioliosis. Presentation of a case and comments of this trematodiosis

ABSTRACT
A case of human fascioliosis in a male lactate in study since one year old, because of III degree malnutrition, hydro and macrocephaly, lactose intolerance, maculopapular exanthema, hepatomegaly, enteral disease with liquid and fetid evacuations without blood and mucus. Ultrasonography descarted hydro and macrocephaly and the hepatic ecogenicity was homogeneous. After medical treatment, the enteral disease continued with leucocytosis and eosinophilia of 60%, besides conjunctival ictericia. Sedimentation coprological examinations and immunodiffusion and indirect hemaglutination tests were performed which were positive to Fasciola hepatica. After medical treatment patient is asymptomatic with laboratory and gabinet normal studies.REFERENCES
