ABSTRACT

Favre-Racouchot disease is a complication caused by chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation and smoking, which results in numerous open comedones and cysts on sun exposed areas. There are several therapeutic options, but what is important is to individualize and classify the severity in order to grant the best treatment option. We present the a 60-year-old male with severe Favre-Racouchot disease with abundant cystic lesions, undergoing electrosurgery and with a satisfactory response. A brief review with focus on therapeutic alternatives is presented.
