ABSTRACT
Bilateral adrenal cystic hemorrhage is a rare entity in the newborn and infant. Predisposing factors are obstetric trauma, neonatal stress, hipoxia, coagulopathy and tumors. Ultrasound and CT scan are necessary tools for diagnosis. Complications that may arise are: abscesses and severe bleeding that may produce hypovolemic shock. Surgical removal is indicated when recurrency presents, even after percutaneous drainage. We present the case of a male newborn with adrenal bilateral hemorrhage, secondary abscess formation and wall calcifications.
