Educational activities supported by intersectorality in the face of the confrontation against COVID-19

ABSTRACT

Introduction: In Cuba the risk of contracting the disease from COVID-19 is currently low, due to the State's willingness to attend to public health as a priority. This has made it possible to organize a group of actions aimed at the joint search for solutions that prevent the spread of the pandemic in the country.
Objective: To evaluate the impact of the educational activities, developed by the offices 8 and 9, of the Artemisa municipality, supported by intersectorality, for the confrontation against COVID-19.
Methods: A non-experimental, transectional and exploratory study was carried out in the medical offices of family 8 and 9 of the "Adrián Sansaricq" Teaching Polyclinic of the municipality of Artemisa during the months of March to May 2020. For the research, a system of educational activities aimed at the population of the study areas.
Results: Knowledge and skills were multiplied within the families and from these towards the community, mainly, in the confrontation of irresponsible behaviors of individuals, in the face of the measures adopted by the health authorities and the technique of Positive, Negative and Interesting to evaluate the state of opinion of citizens regarding the activities received.
Conclusions: Intersectorality in the confrontation against COVID-19, stands as a tool for the development of health actions, in the event of epidemiological situations.
