ABSTRACT

The main work of clinical microbiology laboratories is to provide diagnostic information for the treatment of infectious diseases. With the arrival of the COVID-19, suspicious patients and their contacts were studied in a massive way, through nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal exudate, performed by microbiology professionals. These procedures are of high risk of the consequent aerosolization, so it is very important to perform the procedure in strict compliance with biosafety measures. The objective of the paper is to evaluate in a reflexive way the experiences in the sampling of COVID-19 by the professionals of microbiology of Villa Clara.
