ABSTRACT
We present the case of an eight month old boy with the diagnosis of yuxtaductal aortic coarctation who developed dilated myocardiopathy as complication. This case is presented with the intention to emphasize in the importance of an early and precise diagnosis because a delay in the repair of this cardiac anomaly can lead to severe left ventricular dilation and failure causing confusion and error in diagnosis. The clinical can catalog this condition as a primary myocardial disease wich would make the prognosis worse even after the surgical repair.REFERENCES
