ABSTRACT

The objective of this article is to promote a reflection on the current training, in our context, of highly qualified researchers and the need and importance of assuming this effort from the perspective of "men of science" formation. The development of a scientific thought is recognized as the distinguishing feature of the man of science; this thought attributes are exposed, as well as the necessary conditions for its training. The process of training men of science is briefly explained, and the importance of training professionals with a scientific thought is highlighted not only for science itself but also for the rest of the areas of life in which human beings develop.
