ABSTRACT

Intra-abdominal sepsis is one of the most important causes for which patients are treated in emergency services, regardless of their etiology.
A bibliographic review of the databases of pubMed, Cochrane Library, UpToDate related to intraabdominal sepsis, as well as trauma-related injury control books, in addition to the request for the Biostatistics database of the Hospital México, of the patients with a diagnosis of acute appendicitis with generalized peritonitis and acute diverticulitis with acute peritonitis in the years from 2015-2018; and a questionnaire of 8 questions related to the topic.
The objective is to have a correlation of international and national information, to provide a current perspective of the management of patients with abdominal
