ABSTRACT

The purpose of this work is to inform about a care process for patients with systemic arterial hypertension based on the care model of Dorothea E. Orem, covering the most important preventive measures with which the patient must be acquainted, like: diet, exercise, knowledge and registry of arterial pressure.
This process is exhibited in the form of charts to facilitate its management and understanding. Likewise, it is intended to pay attention to the convenience to use nursing care models in health problems that require continuous care on the side of the health team and knowledge and commitment towards self-care on the side of the patient.
