ABSTRACT

Objective: to Characterize the patients mature bigger diabetic type 2, with insanity, of the community of Brave Tip in the understood period of January to December, year 2018.
Material and Method: he/she was carried out a traverse descriptive study in 60 year-old demented and more, diabetic type 2, residents in our Policlinico, in the year 2018. Universe: 764 60 year-old adults and more. It shows: 96 adult’s bigger, diabetic type 2 with insanity.
Results: the diabetic bigger adults that presented insanity, represent 12,5% of the total of diabetics bigger than 60 years of the studied community, the women were more represented in the group of 60 and 69 years (84,21%), while the men were more numerous between the 70 and 79 years (61,53%), the group of illiterate old men prevailed (39,6%) and the HTA (60,15%).
Conclusions: the frequency of insanity and diabetes mellitus type 2 in bigger adults are elevated by what represents a problem of health. The grateful factors of risk age, married state and education characterized this series of cases.
