ABSTRACT

Introduction: The management of patients with obstetric hemorrhage, its main premise is the timely application of medical and surgical concepts treated in evidence. The obstetric emergency due to obstetric haemorrhage is a specific situation that requires immediate multidisciplinary attention that is highly competent and trained; being a leader in obstetric collapse.
To provide a tool on the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in the intraoperative period in surgery and high complexity resuscitation in obstetric hemorrhage, based on a checklist.
We propose that part of the gynecology and obstetrics specialist’s curriculum contemplate the approach prescribed in surgery and resuscitation of damage control.
This tool was used inter and multidisciplinary, with high impact on the process of diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and monitoring of the obstetric patient in critical condition.
This intraoperative checklist is feasible to implement, low cost, fast and simple to measure with a significant reduction of complications and can help create an environment that is efficient and safe.
