ABSTRACTHerpes zoster is produced by the reactivation of the virus varicella zoster which after having caused varicella remains boarded latently in the sensorial ganglions; it is more frequent in people over 50 years while in healthy children the incidence is much smaller being considered a rare illness. It is described the case of a 6-month nursing baby with herpes zoster with an infrequent clinical situation due to its occurrence and the maternal antecedents of suffering from varicella at 26 weeks gestation.
