Once organic failures are resolved and the patient’s clinical conditions allow them, surgery can be performed in the same hospitalization

Severe acute pancreatitis with local complications

Even when the organic failures are resolved and the patient’s clinical conditions allow them, it is recommended to defer cholecystectomy until the need for surgical resolution of the complications is determined
