Replacement or repair of the mitral valve?

RESUMEN

La reparación valvular mitral es la mejor opción para tratar la regurgitación valvular mitral. Mientras que para los casos de regurgitación mitral por enfermedad degenerativa la tasa de reparación en muy alta, para los casos de etiología reumática ésta permanece como un reto. En este artículo que presentamos aquí, se discuten varios puntos clave a este respecto.
