Rehabilitación de fascitis plantar crónica

RESUMEN

Objetivos: Valorar en ensayo clínico, autocontrolado y prospectivo, el estiramiento de musculatura de pantorrilla y fascia plantar en fascitis plantar crónica (FPC). Material y métodos: 28 pacientes con FPC ≥ 6 meses de evolución. Mediciones: IMC, postura, podoscopia y huella plantar, arcos de movilidad, dolor en EVA, cuantificación de analgésicos y seguimiento por 12 meses. Intervención: Estiramiento de músculos de pantorrilla y fascia plantar en escalón con serie de 10 movimientos de 20 segundos por 6 semanas. Resultados: edad media y DS 55.4 años ± 6.5; género femenino 60.7% y masculino 39.3%; tiempo de evolución media y DS de 8.6 meses ± 2; IMC media y DS de 27.14 K ± 3.87; hallazgos: hallux valgus en 60%, genu valgus y pie plano en 46%, retropié pronado en 71%; contracturas de psoas iliaco, isquiotibiales y tríceps sural. En la sexta semana: 43% de los casos asintomáticos; 50% con dolor ≤ a 3; corroborándose con disminución y/o ausencia de analgésico. Seguimiento: 78.5% (n = 22) continuaron asintomáticos, 2 pacientes realizan ejercicio esporádico; 3 casos extraviados y 1 caso requirió cirugía. Conclusiones: El estiramiento de músculos de pantorrilla y fascia plantar resulta efectivo como tratamiento en FPC.
