Adolescente con síndrome de nefritis túbulo intersticial y uveítis. Informe de caso

RESUMEN

Introducción: el síndrome nefritis túbulo-intersticial y uveítis idiopática, aunque raro, parece tener una incidencia mayor que la informada, con más frecuencia en mujeres.
Objetivo: presentar el caso de una adolescente con síndrome de nefritis túbulo-intersticial y uveítis.
Presentación de caso: paciente femenina de 15 años diagnosticada de nefritis túbulo-intersticial y uveítis, por biopsia renal. Los síntomas iniciales fueron inespecíficos, dados por un síndrome febril de cuatro semanas de evolución, visión borrosa, hiperemia y dolor en el ojo izquierdo. Se impuso tratamiento con esteroides con respuesta exitosa y sin recaídas que empeoraran la función renal durante el seguimiento.
Conclusiones: el síndrome de nefritis túbulo intersticial y uveítis constituye una condición que requiere gran perspicacia diagnóstica por parte del especialista, ya que no se acompaña de alteraciones específicas. Esta presentación constituye un aporte en la divulgación y caracterización de una enfermedad donde se sospecha una incidencia mayor que la informada en la literatura especializada.
