RESUMEN

La psoriasis es una enfermedad inflamatoria, multifactorial, que se produce por un defecto en la queratinopoyesis, lo que conduce a un crecimiento epidérmico exagerado. Existen diversas manifestaciones clínicas, unas más frecuentes que otras. Las formas pustulosas pueden ser localizadas y generalizadas. Dentro de la primera se encuentra la psoriasis pustulosa palmoplantar; situación en que el eritema y la escama en placas se combinan con pústulas estériles persistes en las palmas o plantas. Es poco frecuente y de evolución crónica. La deficiencia funcional es a menudo importante, ya que puede producir dificultades para el trabajo manual y la marcha.
