Telemedicina… ¿la revolución de la consulta del médico familiar?

RESUMEN

La telemedicina se refiere a la prestación de servicios de salud a distancia mediante el uso de tecnologías de la información y comunicación. Incluye consultas médicas virtuales, diagnóstico, tratamiento y monitoreo de pacientes a través de plataformas digitales, como videoconferencias, uso de aplicaciones móviles y acceso a sitios Web. En este artículo se presentan una serie de beneficios y desventajas de la telemedicina. Los médicos familiares somos agentes de cambio y debemos usar estas herramientas optando por el escenario más conveniente para nuestros pacientes, destacando que atendemos a personas, enfermos y no enfermedades.
