Deficiencia en adhesión leucocitaria tipo I. Presentación de un caso y revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN

La deficiencia en la adhesión leucocitaria es una entidad rara en pediatría, caracterizada por un defecto en la función de los granulocitos, en la adhesión fagocítica, quimiotaxis y la fagocitosis. Se manifiesta por infecciones crónicas y lenta cicatrización de heridas, por lo que ocurre el desprendimiento tardío del cordón umbilical, ausencia de pus en la lesión local: a pesar de la leucocitosis. Aquí se reporta el caso de un lactante de tres meses de edad y se discuten los hallazgos clínicos en el lactante, a la luz de la información accesible sobre esta enfermedad.
