Impacto de la contaminación ambiental en la exacerbación de algunas dermatosis inflamatorias

RESUMEN

El carcinoma epidermoide cutáneo (CEC) es una neoplasia de queratinocitos con creciente incidencia global. El manejo del CEC ha evolucionado con la incorporación de inmunoterapia, herramientas moleculares de estratificación de riesgo y estrategias de prevención, por lo que un abordaje integral y actualizado es clave para mejorar el pronóstico, especialmente en casos de alto riesgo o recurrencia. La evidencia científica reciente, proveniente de artículos originales, revisiones sistemáticas y guías clínicas internacionales, ha permitido identificar múltiples factores de riesgo ambientales, genéticos e inmunológicos. Asimismo, los avances en técnicas diagnósticas, cirugía micrográfica de Mohs e inmunoterapia han optimizado el tratamiento y el pronóstico de los pacientes. En este contexto, el manejo integral y actualizado del carcinoma epidermoide cutáneo es fundamental para favorecer el diagnóstico temprano, la adecuada estratificación de riesgo y el tratamiento oportuno, particularmente en pacientes con enfermedad de alto riesgo.
