INTRODUCCIÓN

La lesión renal aguda (LRA) perioperatoria en cirugía hepática mayor y trasplante hepático es frecuente, silenciosamente letal y a menudo subdiagnosticada. Un metaanálisis de 33 estudios estimó la incidencia ponderada en trasplante de 40.8%, con 7% requiriendo terapia de reemplazo renal (TRR) y asociación significativa con mortalidad y falla del injerto.
