FRAGMENTO
INTRODUCCIÓN
El dolor agudo postoperatorio constituye
uno de los problemas clínicos más relevantes
en el manejo perioperatorio. Se estima
que entre 60 y 80% de los pacientes sometidos
a procedimientos quirúrgicos experimentan
dolor moderado o severo durante el período
postoperatorio inmediato, lo que puede afectar
la recuperación funcional, prolongar la estancia
hospitalaria e incrementar el riesgo de cronificación
del dolor. Para los anestesiólogos,
identificar de forma temprana a los pacientes
con mayor riesgo de desarrollar dolor severo
es fundamental para implementar estrategias
analgésicas personalizadas.
