INTRODUCCIÓN

Anualmente se realizan más de 300 millones de cirugías a nivel mundial, con alta carga de morbilidad, mortalidad y costos asociados. La recuperación postoperatoria continúa siendo un período crítico caracterizado por disfunción fisiológica transitoria, respuesta inflamatoria sistémica y riesgo elevado de complicaciones.
