Los métodos de determinación de un grupo sanguíneo se dividen en serológicos y por genotipificación. Los métodos serológicos son los estandarizados para la determinación de grupo sanguíneo y se basan en hemaglutinación, que puede realizarse de manera manual o automatizada.
