Conceptos actuales acerca del pie plano en los niños

RESUMEN

El tratamiento para el pie plano ha cambiado a través de los años pero aún los zapatos ortopédicos y las plantillas siguen siendo usadas ampliamente. Se revisa la información reciente acerca del tratamiento de esta condición tan común. La mayoría de los autores están a favor de sólo tratar los casos severos y sintomáticos de este defecto. Se recomienda un manejo conservador y sólo tratar los casos severos, que deberán ser manejados por un pediatra ortopedista.
