Ruptura distal del tendón del bíceps. Reporte de un caso

RESUMEN

Las rupturas del tendón distal del bíceps son lesiones raras y cuentan de 3 a 5% de todas las lesiones del bíceps. El tratamiento quirúrgico presenta mejores resultados para la función de flexión y supinación del antebrazo que el tratamiento conservador. Actualmente se dispone de diferentes implantes y abordajes para mejorar la evolución de los pacientes y disminuir las complicaciones postquirúrgicas. Se presenta el caso de un paciente con tratamiento quirúrgico con reinserción anatómica con anclas y su evolución a 2 años. Se considera un resultado excelente debido a que permaneció asintomático y se reincorporó a su actividad deportiva previa y sin complicaciones.
