Fracturas de cadera en el niño

RESUMEN

Las fracturas de cadera en los niños son lesiones raras, representan menos del 1% de todas las fracturas. La clasificación recomendada es la Delbet-Colonna que las ubica en cuatro tipos de acuerdo al sitio en que ocurre la fractura. Su tratamiento consiste en la reducción cerrada y estabilización de la fractura. El método estará determinado fundamentalmente por la edad del paciente y el tipo de fractura. Se mencionan como complicaciones: Osteonecrosis, que es la más frecuente, la condrólisis, covara residual, no unión y la infección.
