RESUMEN

Introducción: La resección quirúrgica es el tratamiento en los casos sintomáticos de divertículo de Meckel. El objetivo es reportar nuestra experiencia en el tratamiento mediante laparoscopia.
Material y Métodos: Estudio retrospectivo de un periodo de 3 años de los casos abordados por laparoscopia.
Resultados: 11 pacientes: 10 tuvieron sangrado gastrointestinal y el otro fue identificado como hallazgo incidental. La edad media fue 3.5 años, predominó el sexo masculino. Se realizaron 5 diverticulectomías incluyéndose el caso incidental, los otros 6 fueron tratados con resección y anastomósis. Predomino la mucosa gástrica (54.5%) no hubo mucosa ectópica en ileon o en la base del divertículo. La vía oral reinicio de 2-5 días y la estancia hospitalaria promedio fue de 8.8 días.
Conclusiones: La laparoscopia permite tanto el diagnóstico como el tratamiento del divertículo de Meckel ya sea por diverticulectomía o resección y anastomósis.
