Manejo estomatológico de un paciente portador de trombocitopenia secundaria a mielodisplasia. Reporte de un caso

RESUMEN

El tratamiento médico de los pacientes sistémicamente comprometidos obliga al estomatólogo pediatra a identificar cualquier situación o factor que modifique o impida los procedimientos estomatológicos. Se presenta el caso de una niña de 4 años 7 meses de edad con diagnóstico de mielodisplasia que presenta trombocitopenia. Requería de terapia de reemplazo para rehabilitación bucal, que incluye la extracción de los órganos dentarios 52, 51 y 61. Se indica profilaxis antibiótica y transfusión de concentrados plaquetarios, se realiza el tratamiento estomatológico en el quirófano sin complicaciones. Es dada de alta a las 24 h.
