Aprepitant contra ondansetrón en la prevención de náusea y vómito postoperatorio en pacientes intervenidos de colecistectomía abierta

RESUMEN

Objetivo: Determinar si el aprepitant es superior al ondansetrón en la prevención de la náusea y el vómito postoperatorio en pacientes intervenidos de colecistectomía abierta bajo anestesia general. Material y métodos: Se incluyeron 60 pacientes mayores de 18 años asignados en dos grupos aleatoriamente; uno de los grupos recibió aprepitant 80 mg vía oral y el otro ondansetrón 4 mg intravenoso antes de la inducción anestésica. Se documentaron los episodios de náusea y vómito al llegar a la sala de recuperación, a las 6 y a las 24 horas del postoperatorio. Resultados: El grupo de aprepitant tuvo un mejor control de la náusea a su llegada a la sala de recuperación y a las 6 horas del postoperatorio, con resultados similares al ondansetrón a las 24 horas. Conclusión: El aprepitant es superior al ondansetrón en la prevención de la náusea y el vómito postoperatorio en pacientes intervenidos de colecistectomía abierta.
