Tumor odontogénico epitelial calcificante (tumor de Pindborg). Informe de un caso y revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN

El tumor odontogénico epitelial calcificante, o tumor de Pindborg, es una neoplasia benigna odontogénica que afecta los maxilares de manera ocasional; una de sus manifestaciones clínicas es la expansión de las corticales y la asociación con dientes retenidos. Desde su descripción original en 1955 se han informado 200 casos en la literatura mundial. Revisamos las publicaciones y describimos el caso de un paciente con este tumor odontogénico en la mandíbula, quien recibió tratamiento con enucleación quirúrgica y evolucionó de forma satisfactoria.
