RESUMEN

La ligadura con banda elástica para el tratamiento de la enfermedad hemorroidal es un procedimiento útil recomendado en grado II de enfermedad hemorroidal interna y en pacientes grado III con riesgo quirúrgico alto. La hemorroidectomía, aunque con mayor tasa de respuesta, se asocia con frecuentes complicaciones y dolor.
