RESUMEN
El vólvulo de ciego es una presentación clínica poco frecuente y una causa de oclusión intestinal, los pacientes presentan
manifestaciones clínicas variables, desde dolor abdominal agudo hasta choque séptico. Debido a la rara presentación y la escasa
repetición el diagnóstico y tratamiento se retrasan. El objetivo de esta revisión es suscitar el conocimiento a través del caso clínico,
patogénesis de la enfermedad, características clínicas y reporte histopatológico.
